Calculation operators

These are the 21 operators currently offered in Status.

Requires: Write access to configure a questionnaire calculation.

Shared rules

Select inputs explicitly using the reference selector. Numeric operators generally skip empty and nonnumeric inputs; they do not impute missing answers. With no input selected, most operators use eligible current-pipeline inputs, excluding cross-calculation references unless explicitly selected. FILTER, EXCLUDE, SUBTRACT and DIVIDE have exceptions described on their operator pages.

An operator normally retains earlier results. Create unique key preserves the selected original when an operator would otherwise replace it. Aggregate result names include the operator and its zero-based position (for example AVERAGE0); choose these through the selector.

“Stored input order” is the order of available inputs, not necessarily the order in which references were clicked. Per item means the mode described in each entry; it is not uniform across operators. Comparisons, clamps and absolute value use only the first number.
