Record in the browser

Record audio, or video with audio, and upload it progressively during capture.

Requires: A Cue login with recording creation available, browser microphone permission and camera permission for video. Use your organization's approved recording procedure.

  1. On the home screen, open New recording and select Record in browser.
  2. Choose Audio Only or Video + Audio.
  3. Allow the requested device access. Check the microphone waveform and, for video, the camera preview.
  4. Start recording. Pause and resume within the session when needed.
  5. Select End Recording.
  6. Wait for pending uploads. If necessary, select Retry Failed Uploads.
  7. Complete the transcription options, including the deletion setting, and start processing or save the recording.

Use Show Transcription Options if you closed that dialog after finishing.

Recover a session

When Previous recording recovered appears after a reload, choose Continue Recording to resume or Transcribe As-Is to finalize uploaded material. Discard abandons the recovered session.

Only material successfully uploaded can be recovered from the server. Do not assume the last part before a connection or browser failure was saved. Review the recovered duration before continuing.

If capture does not start

Check browser permissions and that the intended microphone/camera is available. Close other applications using the device if necessary. Inspect any visible upload error before leaving the page.
