Connect a phone using a QR code
The person's connection code links the Status mobile app to their existing record.
Requires: Access to the person's App Connection section and permission to issue their connection code. The person needs the Status mobile app.
- Open the correct person in People and verify their alias.
- Open App Connection.
- Show the QR code or select Print Code.
- In the mobile app, follow its PIN setup/unlock instructions and open the connection-code scanner.
- Scan the code and check that the expected assigned questionnaire appears.
Treat the code like a sign-in credential. Give it directly to the intended person.
If connection fails
Check camera permission, network access and whether the code belongs to the intended instance/person. If the code has been invalidated, issue a current code from the person's record.
Invalidate all previous codes disables previously issued connection codes. Do not assume that this alone signs out every already-connected device.
A preset QR code has a different purpose: each scan creates a new person using the preset. Use the existing person's App Connection code for this workflow.
