Get started with Status
Follow one synthetic person from their first questionnaire to a dashboard. Allow about 10 minutes, plus the time needed to install the mobile app if you use it.
Requires: A professional login to your organization's Status instance, permission to create people, questionnaires and dashboards, and a synthetic practice record. Ask your administrator for access if a creation or editing control is unavailable.
Create the person
Open People, search first to avoid a duplicate, and select Create person. Choose your organization's practice preset if one exists. Use alias Demo-01 if editable; otherwise note the generated alias. Select Add.
The person is the subject of the answers. You remain the professional user configuring their questionnaires. See Create a person for preset and personal-field differences.
Create a short questionnaire
Open Questionnaires → Create Questionnaire. Name it Daily check-in and select Create.
In Questions, use the plus button to add three Number questions: “Energy today”, “Concentration today” and “Rest today”. Include “0–10” in each question's wording. Save each question and the questionnaire. Select Test to inspect the answering flow.
This example is only for learning the configuration. For professional use, you can also import a questionnaire from the catalogue.
Add one calculated result
In the questionnaire's Calculations, select Add Calculation and name it checkin_mean. Add an operator, choose AVERAGE, and select the three numeric question references. Leave Per item off. Save the questionnaire.
This named calculation will be available for a dashboard. For the practice answers 2, 4 and 6, the expected result is 4. Create a calculation explains input selection and testing.
Assign it for a first answer
Return to the person and search for Daily check-in in their Questionnaires section. Select it and review the assignment dialog.
Leave Third party assignment off. Open Edit Schedule, add a schedule and use one fixed date/time around your practice session, with enough grace to answer. Leave recurring intervals, weekdays and additional final occurrences off. Save the schedule and select Create a new assignment.
Confirm that the assignment appears once. It links the questionnaire to this person. Its custom schedule overrides any questionnaire default. For daily follow-up later, use Configure schedules.
Collect a synthetic answer
In the person's existing assignment, use Answer Now to open their answering workflow. This signs you out locally to hand over the device; a non-anonymous person using single sign-on must log in themselves. Use an anonymous synthetic practice person for this exercise and submit the values 2, 4 and 6. Sign back in with your professional account before continuing.
For the usual phone workflow, open the person's App Connection, show or print their code, and let them connect the mobile app. Use the phone connection guide; do not use a preset QR code for an existing person.
Check the answers
Open All Answers, find the alias and Daily check-in, and open the new submission. Confirm the three values and the checkin_mean result.
If the submission is absent, resolve that before configuring a graph. View answers and questionnaire visibility checks provide the next checks.
Display the result
Open Dashboards → Create Dashboard, enter Daily check-in results and a short description, then select CREATE.
Select the plus (+) button, then Wizard in Add a panel. Choose the questionnaire and checkin_mean, then an offered chart type and panel title. Enable person and date filters and connect them to dashboard controls. Set Preview subject to your practice alias.
Select Add panel, save the dashboard and select the practice person and a date range containing the answer. Compare the displayed value with the submission. Follow Add a panel if any wizard step is unclear.
